Who to write to, and the questions we are asked most
On the Wedding Days
Please Do Not Call the Couple
On the wedding days, please do not contact Oceania and Eko directly. They will not have their telephones with them, and a message sent to them will sit unread.
Anything at all, from a locked gate to a late car to a seat you cannot find, goes to the WhatsApp number above. It will be dealt with faster that way.
If it is a genuine emergency, say so in the message. It reaches the people who can reach them.
Or write to us here
This opens your own email with the message ready to send, so you have a copy of it too.
The Ones We Are Asked
Nothing is hidden behind a tap. Where something has not been settled the answer says so rather than guessing.
-
May I bring a guest
Only if your invitation names them. The number on your invitation is the number the venue can seat, and the seating was built name by name.
Whether anyone may bring a partner who is not named is To be confirmed. If your circumstances have changed since the invitation went out, say so when you reply rather than assume.
-
Are children invited
No. Children are not invited.
This is not about your children. It is about what the rooms and the days allow. The full wording of the policy is To be confirmed, but the answer itself will not change.
-
What time should I arrive
Earlier than you are planning to. Arrival times are To be confirmed and will appear on the ceremony page as soon as they are fixed.
Plan to be seated before things begin. Once a procession starts you will be held at the back until it has passed.
-
What should I wear
Traditional attire is warmly encouraged at the traditional wedding. A wrapper and blouse, a full traditional dress with a gele, an agbada, a kaftan or a senator suit are all perfectly at home.
Formal evening attire is requested at the white wedding. A dinner suit, a long evening dress, or Nigerian formal dress, which is the equal of black tie and never an alternative to it.
The colours, the looks and what is held back for the families are set out in full on the ceremony page.
-
Is there parking
There is parking at the venue, but there is much less of it than there are guests.
Please share a car where you can, travel together if you are coming from the same house, and keep the number of drivers and staff you bring to a minimum. The final arrangements are To be confirmed.
-
Will there be transport from the hotels
Whether cars will run between the hotels and the venue is To be confirmed.
If transport is laid on, the pick up points and the times will be published on the Travel page and sent to everyone who has replied.
-
Is the venue accessible
The access at the venue is To be confirmed. We would rather tell you nothing than tell you something that turns out to be wrong on the day.
Please put what you need in the accessibility box when you reply, and it will be arranged quietly.
-
How do I order the Aso Ebi
On the Aso Ebi page, online, and nowhere else. There are four cloths: one each for the immediate families of the bride and the groom, and one each for guests on either side.
Prices, the order deadline and how the cloth is collected are To be confirmed. Wearing it is not required.
-
When do I need to reply by
The reply deadline is To be confirmed.
Please do not wait for it. Reply as soon as you know, for every person named on your invitation, so the seating can be built properly.
-
Someone in my party cannot come. May another person take their place
Give their name in the replacement box on the reply form, next to the person who cannot come.
Any replacement is subject to confirmation by the couple. Please do not treat a name written there as a seat until we have written back to you.
If your question is not here, the Contact page lists who deals with what.
